Enslave - Far East Hardcore Punk

So remember when I wasn't dead and posted that Enslave/Realized split?

Enslave - Far East Hardcore Punk

A buddy of mine sent me a little present, and it turned out to be this album. This shit impressed me so god damn much I felt the need to come out of my hibernation.

If you liked that split with Realized, you'll fuckin love this. And if you didn't well give it a try anyway, cause this is that goddamn good. Musically this is pretty all over the place, which for hardcore and crust is a good thing if you ask me. Lots of diversity here and a slew of influences from all over.

Best hardcore release of 2011 so far, right here.

preying hands - Through the Dark

Preying hands with good intentions
prying where they don't belong

preying hands - Through the Dark

I found out about this band a while back and loved this.

Simply put, neocrust with female vocals. Very catchy and awesomely crusty. If you like Witch Hunt then you will love this. Give it a listen, it's great.

Leper - End Progress

I'm posting ska?!?!

Leper - End Progress

I know what you're thinking "Ska?!?!?" Yes ska!

This is Leper, a blackened crust/ska band out of Canada. Initially that word "ska" kept me away from this band. How could anything related to ska possibly be good? But oh this is. It very much is.

Take Iskra, and then add in some catchy as fuck ska and reggae grooves and you have Leper. This shit had me floored since I first gave it a listen earlier tonight. Give this a listen.

Bastard Priest Discography

Some discography...

Bastard Priest - Merciless Insane Death demo

Bastard Priest - Under the Hammer of Destruction

Bastard Priest seem to be a relatively new Swedish band but the underground seems ablaze with praise for their demo. Their full-length however just came out and it's just as good as the demo, plus more.

Musically we got old school Swedish death metal with a notably strong crust punk influence. People are already clamoring saying this will become an essential. I don't know if I'd go that far, but this is certainly a fantastic record.

I've included the demo also since well... why not? The demo tracks are on the album, rerecorded, but the demo versions are still nice themselves. Both the album and demo feature a great Bombanfall cover as well.

Enslave/Realized split

Enslave, not Enslaved

Can't find a cover.

Needless to say this seems to be quite rare, as I only managed to find it through the help of a friend.

So what we have here is a split between two Japanese bands. Enslave, playing that brand of melodic crust with dual male/female vocals I do so love, and Realized, bringing some classic Japanese grindcore.

Both sides are quite good, though I lean more towards the Enslave side, and as mentioned, this is frankly not easy to find, so enjoy everyone. Two great bands for the price of one.

ENSLAVE

08.sin of general

I kind of just now realized it's improperly tagged, so apologies, feel free to retag it yourself.

Disclose - Assorted EPs, Splits and Vinyl

The Apocalypse Continues...

Disclose - 4 Track E.P.

Disclose - Apocalypse Continues

Disclose - The Aspects of War

Disclose - Split with G.A.T.E.S.

Disclose - Split with Selfish

If you don't know Disclose, then just think fucking noisey as fuck, raw d-beat from Japan. Which basically means in short that it is fucking awesome, and you should listen to it.

Also G.A.T.E.S. is pretty much half of Church of Misery playing raw noisey thrashy punk with a Motorhead vibe. So again, hurry up and download it.

Assault - Discography

Well, I'm pretty sure its their discog.

Assault - Pain 7"

Assault - 1st

Assault - Martyrdom 7"

Assault - 2nd

Assault are a Japanese hardcore punk band that combine crust with melody in the way of neocrust while incorporating that aspect of Japanese hardcore we have all come to know and love as Burning Spirit. Highly recomend these guys.

Not posting tracklists, post is long enough. Tags are admittedly messed up a bit though. I apologize.

Nux Vomica - A Civilized World

Would you like some melody with your crust, sir?

Nux Vomica - A Civilized World

Excuse the small cover image, best I could find. Anyway in contrast to the noisey fury of Framtid, I am now posting Nux Vomica, another crust band. This however, has melody. A lot of melody. Don't get the wrong idea now, this stuff is still very much crust and angry, it's just got melody though.

It seems that as of late a good number of modern crust bands coming up have been including a good deal of melody, to the point people are now calling this melodic crust neocrust. I don't particularly like the term, but I'll follow along for simplicity purposes. Recomended for anyone new to hardcore, crust, etc or just happens to like melody in their crust.
